Britt

Success Story

Britt came in with Blue and Velvet in December 2008. She came from an Arabian breeder in Eastern Washington who could no longer care for her horses. Britt is in her 20′s and has never been ridden, but she is about as sweet as they come.

Update 2/28/09: Britt is doing very well! She’s in a wonderful foster home with other horses and is making progress on her ground manners. She’s gaining weight and really enjoying the attention she receives on a daily basis. Here’s a lovely letter from PHH supporter Siena Helland: Britt is such a sweet horse. She has a beautiful coat and I think she is a great role model for other horses. She is quiet and doesn’t slam on her door or stall. She is a great horse for kids to be around. She is very calm and alert. She is an all around great horse! Britt is also very gentle and listens and follows your directions very well. Britt is not a very energetic horse, but she is very passionate and loving.

Update 4/21/09: Britt has found her forever home! She will be going to Sequim, WA next week to keep a retired National Show horse company. Her new mom is excited to give her gleding a new girlfried as his passed away several months ago.

Update September 2009: Unfortunately the gelding at her new home decided he did not want a new companion and picked on her terribly. She has returned to PHH and is currently playing babysitter and teacher to two of the foals that were born into the organization this year.
