One of eight horses that were abandoned and left to run wild in Skagit county, Thumper was skittish and standoffish when she arrived at the barn. We gave her the time she needed to relax and it has really paid off. Her ground manners are impeccable and she’s always one of the first horses to greet you at the gate and ask for some love.
June 2011 Update:
Thumper will be spending some time this summer on pasture not far from the barn with a group of additional PHH horses. She is ready to move up into the training program as soon as a spot becomes available. The hope is that later this summer there will be enough funding to put her into the training program so she will be one step closer to finding a new home!
