Little Red was part of a three horse seizure from Skagit County in January 2009. She came from a questionable situation that is currently being investigated for animal abuse and neglect. Young with little training, Little Red is a work in progress. Please check back for more news!
Update 7/22/09: Little Red is a 3 year old red roan QH type that is only about 13.3 hands. One of our volunteers did about 30 days of ground work with Little Red earlier this year but she went into training the first of this month with Meghan Valenti. As of today she has had 6 rides and she is doing very well! We like to make sure newly started horses spend at least 90 days under saddle before we place them but I am willing to start considering prospective homes. Little Red is going to make someone a very nice Western Pleasure horse.
Update 2/10/10: Little Red has found a home! She is going to a young girl that has a lot of experience driving miniature horses with her family but wanted a big horse that she could ride!
