One of six horses seized from a property by Skagit County Animal Control, Autumn is a mild mannered mare who arrived at PHH emaciated with severe rain rot, dental problems, and overgrown feet. In her time at the barn she’s put on weight, her hooves are on the road to recovery, and her teeth are now healthy. She has clearly endured abusive treatment in the past, but we are working with her and her trust for humans is growing daily.

June 2011 Update:

Autumn will be spending the summer out on pasture not far from the People Helping Horses facility with a group of additional rescue horses.  She is continuing to heal both mentally and physically and has come a long way in her trust towards humans.
