Tia

Breed:
Grade
Color:
Chestnut
Tia is one of eight horses that were abandoned and left to run wild in Skagit county. After a month under saddle, we began to wonder if Tia was pregnant. A vet check confirmed that she was and this lovely mare was taken out of training in order to rest up in preparation for giving birth.  She spent a lovely sunny summer out on pasture and brought little colt Simba into the world shortly thereafter. She’s currently waiting to be re-entered into the training program.

June 2011 Update:

Tia will be spending the summer out on pasture with a “herd” of other PHH horses not far from the main facility.   Although still shy and hesitant around people, we are slowly but surely gaining her trust.  We look forward to continuing our work with her when a spot becomes available in the training program.
